Women’s health physiotherapy that supports you through every stage
Women’s Health Physiotherapy at Studio 4 provides supportive, personalised care for women experiencing changes or challenges related to pelvic health, pregnancy, postnatal recovery or general movement comfort. Our physiotherapists take the time to listen, understand your goals and guide you through practical strategies that help you feel more confident in your body.
We offer a safe, welcoming environment where you can ask questions openly and receive care tailored to your needs.
What Women’s Health Physiotherapy Involves
Women’s Health Physiotherapy focuses on how the pelvic floor, abdominal region and surrounding muscles work together to support everyday movement. Your physiotherapist will explore your symptoms, your history and your goals, then guide you through options that may support your comfort and confidence.
Your session may include:
Education about pelvic health and how your body is functioning
Gentle movement or exercise strategies for strength and support
Practical ideas for returning to daily tasks or activity
Advice on modifying positions, routines or movement patterns
Guidance you can continue at home
Your physiotherapist will always explain your options clearly and check in with your comfort throughout the process.

Uncertainty about pelvic health after childbirth
Changes to everyday comfort or function
This is not a complete list. If you are unsure whether Women’s Health Physiotherapy is right for you, our team is happy to guide you.

Ideas for modifying daily tasks
Supportive positions for rest, work or exercise
Gentle exercises to help you feel stronger and more stable
After birth:

Education about pelvic floor health
We meet you where you are, whether you are navigating new changes or returning to activity.

Pelvic Floor Support and Internal Exams
Your physiotherapist may discuss whether an internal pelvic floor assessment would be helpful. This option is only offered when appropriate and always explained in detail. The purpose of an internal assessment is to better understand how your pelvic floor is functioning so your physiotherapist can tailor recommendations that suit your needs.
You are always in control of what happens during your session. There is no pressure to proceed with any assessment you are not comfortable with. Your physiotherapist will talk through every step and answer any questions you may have.
